Who are Body Balance

Founded in 1988, by a registered osteopath and a specialist in foot surgery, Body Balance are leading practitioners of Osteopathy, Chiropody, Foot Surgery, Acupuncture and Homeopathy.

The practice has grown to incorporate three sites at Rom ford, Hornchurch, and South Woodford and is able to provide a full range of professional and expert advice.

Body Balance is staffed by 13 qualified practitioners. Each are experts in their field and able to offer the best in professional care and advice. We have therefore been chosen to provide our services to local fund holding doctors. All our specialists continue their education with regular updates to stay at the front of their fields.

John Chaffey B.Sc(Hons),DO
Registered Osteopath

John trained full time for four years at the British School of Osteopathy in London. He then studied for a Research degree at the University of East London looking into back pain during pregnancy. He teaches undergraduate osteopaths at the European School of Osteopathy in Kent. John is trained in advanced dry needling/ (medical) acupuncture. John has 22 years practice experience

Terry Rulten B.Sc(Hons) PGCE(F)
Registered Osteopath

Terry trained full time for four years at the European School of Osteopathy in Maidstone. He teaches undergraduate osteopaths at the European School of Osteopathy in Kent. Terry has 13 years practice experience. He has special experience in paediatric osteopathy.

Kate Perkins B.Sc(Ost, Hons)
Registered Osteopath

Kate trained full time for four years at the European School of Osteopathy in Maidstone. She has an interest in paediatric osteopathy and management of cerebral palsy. Kate is trained in advanced dry needling/ (medical) acupuncture. Kate has 10 years practice experience and is the Principal Practitioner at our South Woodford Surgery. She also has experience treating Horses and companion animals.

Lucy Green B.Sc(Ost, Hons)

Lucy trained full time for four years at the British College of Osteopathic Medicine in London. She is interested in the care of pregnant women and cranial techniques. She has 11 years practice experience

Anna trained full time for four years at the European School of Osteopathy. She is also qualified in dry needling techniques.

Elda trained full time for four years at the British College of Osteopathic Medicine in London. She works at the Osteopathic Center for Children and has a special interest in pediatric osteopathy and cranial techniques. Elda is trained in advanced dry needling/ (medical) acupuncture. Elda has 6 years practice experience

Catherine Trained four years at the British School of Osteopathy. She has worked there as a clinical tutor. She has over 16 years practice experience.

Lyndsy Mills B.Ost, HND
Registered Osteopath

Lyndsey trained full time at the British School of Osteopathy and additionally at the London School for the Treatment of Sports Injuries, Birbeck University College London, Coventry University and the London Contemporary Dance School. She is training in Dry Needle acupuncture. She has one year of Osteopathic practice experience and several years as a sports and dance therapist.
