John Chaffey - BSc PGCFE DO

John Chaffey is the Principal Osteopath at Body Balance Osteopaths in Hornchurch and Romford.

He completed four years of full-time training at the British School of Osteopathy (University College of Osteopathy) in London. Following this, he pursued a research degree at the University of East London, focusing on back pain during pregnancy.

John is also trained in advanced dry needling and medical acupuncture. With 36 years of practical experience, he is registered as a recognized provider for BUPA and AXA.

In addition to his practice, Mr Chaffey serves as an External Examiner of Clinical Competence at the British School of Osteopathy, Oxford Brookes University, and Surrey Institute of Osteopathic Medicine.

In 2012, Mr Chaffey was appointed to the Council of the General Osteopathic Council, the UK’s statutory regulator for osteopathy.

John also holds a specialist appointment in Musculoskeletal care with the NHS.
